SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) The SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) is an independent indicator developed by the SCImago Research Group using Scopus citation data. Unlike CiteScore, SJR considers not only the number of citations but also the prestige and influence of the journals from which those citations originate. Consequently, journals may receive different quartile rankings under SJR than under CiteScore. According to the latest SCImago Journal Rank, BEEI is currently classified as a Q3 journal. A Comprehensive Perspective As scholarly publishing continues to evolve, no single metric can fully represent a journal's quality, influence, or impact. Each metric evaluates journal performance from a different perspective: - CiteScore emphasizes citation performance within Scopus. - SJR emphasizes scientific prestige by weighting citations according to the influence of the citing journals. - SNIP (Source Normalized Impact per Paper) normalizes citation impact across different research disciplines, enabling fairer comparisons between subject fields.
